I was shopping at my local grocery store ALONE (Toby took Liam to a place called Fun Land), and actually had time to look at things! Can you imagine?? I was shopping for frozen garlic bread when I came across this product: Broccoli Souffle by Garden Lites. I read the ingredients and it was vegetarian! And low-fat! And there are other flavors, too, so I just bought them all! And I really wish I had not done that. Because I didn’t like this one at all. Figures. So now I have three or four more sitting in my freezer. I believe one of these souffles is just for one person, but I split it up between the three of us. Liam ate a little of his, and Toby didn’t even mention it, so I don’t think he liked it. I was hoping this would be a nice side dish to add some variety. Oh well. With this we had some Quorn Naked Cutlets (with some Basting Oil), some crash-hot potatoes, and some bread.

I love everything garden lites makes! The only complaint I have is the instructions –they tell you to microwave it for about 2 minutes longer than it needs–this makes it taste terrible and changes the texture. But if you bake them right, they are sooo good.

I was “hooked” by the picture on the box and the picture on hungrygirl.com HOWEVER I have never tasted any frozen item so gross! I love ALL the ingredients listed but not in this item. I am so glad I bought only one and the reason is the price: TOO EXPENSIVE. I microwaved it as instructed OMG how awful. The actual product is nothing like the picture. Sorry about that! I will be commenting on this product at my next weight watchers meeting and will give it a 10 as being the worst I have ever eaten in taste and especially looks. My husband said “ARE YOU GOING TO EAT THAT??” I couldn’t eat it all.
