I started watching this new (at least to me!) vegan cooking show, called Vegan Mashup. This is a recipe from one of the shows I watched, and can I just tell you this: YUM. I started frying up the tofu, and I was thinking “no way will this end up tasting like bacon.” BUT IT DID. Basically you just thinly slice your tofu, fry it until lightly brown and crispy on both sides, then add about 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, a sprinkle of soy sauce, and a sprinkle of liquid smoke and stir it all around. That’s it. This tofu didn’t last very long in my house (Toby had 3.5 sandwiches!).
