I saw these in the freezer section at Wegman’s a while ago, and had to buy them, even though I am not a big tofu fan. I’ve been wondering how I should use them, and decided to just make sandwiches and jazz them up somehow. So that’s what I did. I pan-fried the “steaks” in some olive oil spray, and then served them on toasted wheat buns with lettuce, tomato, and some pesto mayo. These were really good! The texture was good- they were kind of tough (but not soggy, like I thought they would be), and they were seasoned with something (ie. they didn’t taste like plain ol’ tofu). Toby had 2 sandwiches, and then finished Liam’s (since he couldn’t eat a whole one)! I served these with a green salad and an assortment of fries (cleaned out the freezer!). I will definitely serve these again!
