Cheesy Baked Meatballs

Yeah, with this recipe you aren’t really making a dish per se, you are just kind of combining premade things, but hey, yay for convenience! And this dish is GOOD! Toby said he could eat the whole thing! I used 3 boxes of Morningstar Farms Veggie Meatballs, a whole jar of Giada’s pasta sauce, and sliced mozzarella cheese on top.  SO good! The pasta sauce I used had bits and pieces of green and black olives in it, so that made it even better. I served this with warm toasted bread and a green salad. I love these quick easy meals!

Cheesy Baked Meatballs
(Real Simple, Sept. 2012)

serves 4
time needed: about 40 min.


20 meatballs (I used 2-3 boxes of Morningstar Farms veggie meatballs)
2 cups marinara sauce
4 ounces thinly sliced Fontina (I used mozzarella)

Cook meatballs, then place in an 8″ square baking dish and top with marinara sauce and cheese. Bake at 400 degrees F until the cheese has melted, 15-20 minutes. Serve with toasted country bread.
