Buttermilk Pie

I have never had buttermilk pie before, but the photo in the magazine looked so good! This is a really easy pie to make, and it turned out to be really good! This pie is REALLY SWEET! It made my jaw hurt a little, it’s so sweet! But if you are looking for a really easy, good custard pie to make, this is one you should try!

Buttermilk Pie
(All Recipes magazine)

makes 1 pie

Ingredients:

1 frozen 9″ pie crust
1 cup white sugar
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tbsp melted butter
powdered sugar for garnish

Directions:

Mix sugar and flour. Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, vanilla. Melt the butter over low heat. Add to buttermilk mixture and mix well.
Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 – 40 minutes. Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar.
